Vincent Willem Van Gogh was born on the 30th of March, 1853, in Zundert, Netherlands.
He died 29th of July, 1890, at age 37.
His father was a Protestant pastor.
Van Gogh was the eldest son in his family.
He was a great Dutch artist. His hole life was not as his wish,
nor successful love, nor keep the work, and nor even keep his friend.

He sank behind poverty and lost faith to everyone.
Since Van Gogh cannot be an true Christian he started to draw earnestly.

Van Goghs' artistic career lasting 10 years from 1880 to 1890.
It was as short as his life. He started painting in landscape.
Van Goghs paint with Mauve and other Dutch artists in rural area
to be alone with nature in the summer of 1883.

Van Gogh learned to portray the freshness
of a visual impression from studying in Hals.
While he notice the Japanese prints and Impressionist painting,
Rubens's mode and Van Gogh's ability make his colourful style were build.
He refused to follow the academy's dictates led him to to join Theo in Paris, 1886.
In the summer of 1887 he was painting in pure colours and using broken brushwork
that is at times pointillistic.
Van Gogh post-Impressionist style had crystallized by the beginning of 1888.
As he was tired of city life, he moved to Arles in southeastern France.

Van Gogh worked with Gauguin in October, 1888,
but their ideas were opposition and incompatible temperament.
They were fighting intensely.
Gauguin left and Van Gogh was hospitalized in 24th, December, 1888.

Van Gogh colourful and pointillistic painting really attract me.
His unique character achievement him to be a great Post-Impressionist.
